When you become a member of the GAT Alumni online community, and provide personal data to GAT such as your name, business and/or home addresses and contact details, this allows us to register you as an active member of the Alumni online community. You will see online postings, newsletters, online messages, emails, SMS about specific events relevant to alumni meetings or other events held by GAT specially for its alumni. Please note that in the registration form on this website we require you to supply us with your birthday dates in addition to full name. This is to allow us to identify you as a former member of GAT and to prevent potential I.D. fraud. We may also use this personal data to send you birthday greetings. All personal information supplied to us is held in a secure and confidential way and is not accessible to third parties. Further, it is also possible for us to allow alumni to send messages to other GAT alumni via this website. Any information which you provide to us when participating in an online survey, will be used on a aggregated and confidential basis for internal HR research purposes, so that we can improve our operational efficiencies in terms of better understanding the requirements of potential future employees. If anyone contacts our office to connect with a GAT alumni, we take the inquirers name and phone number. This information is forwarded to the GAT alumni, who chooses if they want to make the connection. Addresses are used to send alumni newsletters, GAT updates and special event notification.
From time to time, we may ask you to complete online opinion polls in relation to business related topics that we feel will be of interest to both you and your fellow alumni. Please note that in such cases, your participation in such opinion polls will indicate your permission to allow us to share the results with other fellow alumni. Again the collection of such information will be on an aggregated anonymous basis and for distribution only amongst authorized fellow GAT alumni. Please note that we may, however, need to disclose your personal data if we are required to do so by law, court order, government regulation or any other regulatory body or if we are subject to a corporate amalgamation. The employee information provided by you is used when planning alumni corporate meetings. Most data is used in GAT statistical reports. As part of the mission and social responsibility, the GAT Alumni association, may initiate or support fundraising efforts through the alumni fund drive under special circumstances like natural disaster, medical emergency etc.
In general, GAT officials may release student records to potential employers if the student has requested in writing that you do so. This issue ordinarily arises when a student asks for a recommendation. Alternatively, you may seek a student's written consent online through this portal or via paper form available at the GAT.
